From 2017 to 2022, we at Joyful Noise had a holiday tradition in which we enlisted our roster to record new and improved songs for the winter season. Well, we are doing things a little differently in 2023 (and likely for years to come)... In 2023 we continue our holiday tradition, but we're focusing on a very different holiday...

The Joyful Noise Halloween Party, Vol 1 is, frankly, one of the best various artist collections we have ever produced. Swamp Dogg does Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Magic Sword does Philip Glass, Eerie Wanda does Daniel Johnston, Oneida does Siouxsie and the Banshees, SUUNS does Zappa, Tall Tall Trees/Kramer do fuckin' Stevie Wonder, and Marnie Stern/Fred Armisen do more cowbell... It's ridiculous.

Just as with past years, we are cutting a very limited number of specialty lathe-cuts: spider web-shaped 7" records we are calling “SpiderLathes”. Each copy is hand-made right here at JNR, die-cut, screen-printed on side B, and features artwork by Jad Fair.

This series is limited to just 1000 copies across all 10 tracks (i.e. made to order, roughly 100 copies of each track).

100% of net profits benefit the Jonathan Lee Horne Memorial Fund.
