Soft Strategies is a project from John Dieterich (of Deerhoof) and Jay Pellicci (engineer/producer + of 31knots and Dilute). The project is over a decade in the making, and is the latest collaboration from John and Jay. The two previously played together in another noise/experimental project called Natural Dreamers. 

Soft Strategies' self-titled album spills over with playful ideas and experimentation. An instrumental work, the record is filled to the brim with twists and turns that create exhilarating performances.

This self-titled debut is available now and is the seventh release off the 2022 Gray Area Cassette Series that features 10 artists from JNR's extended family.
