Description
Spencer Peppet makes her solo debut with Hell is Empty, an original score to the 1091 Pictures feature film Hell is Empty. Most known for her introspective, vulnerable work with arty folk-pop group The Ophelias, Music from Hell is Empty finds Peppet opting for “folk horror” through four instrumental pieces full of tension and anxiety.
Hell is Empty is available now on DSPs and as a silkscreened, one-sided 7” record limited to 550 copies.
Hell Is Empty does an excellent job of walking the line in representing brutality without being sadistic to the characters. It’s the direction neo-exploitation should be pointed in. This world is lived in and all the more horrifying for it.
