Birthmark is the moniker of Nate Kinsella's (Joan of Arc, Make Believe, Decembers Architects) solo efforts. As Birthmark, Nate writes for a wide array of instruments, ranging from vocal choirs to the cuica, while also playing and recording most of the instruments (drums, cello, piano, clarinet, guitar, bass, mandolin, little hand percussion thingies, blah blah blah... ect) on his albums himself. Having released three albums, including "Antibodies" on Polyvinyl in 2012, Birthmark contributes to the Joyful Noise 2013 Flexi Disc series.
