This weekend, me and
Pete went to
Luna to look through the bins and found this gem: a child-preacher delivering a sermon about the hit single, “
I Heard It through the Grapevine” a song with which we are all familiar, written by Norman Whitfield & Barrett Strong for Motown Records in 1966, and made famous by Marvin Gaye in a single released in October 1968 on Motown’s Tamla label.
I think we were sort of hoping for a child preacher in the mold of Eli from there will be blood.
But what we actually found ended up being so much more. I’m not exactly sure what the 14 year old wonder boy Preacher is trying to say in this sermon, but I got a kick out of the way he said it, whatever he was talking about. Check out the whole sermon below and Pete’s remix.
